the "deep blue sea" polyp basket cage earrings" are made with oxidized sterling silver, glass beads and filament. the glass beads are a lush and icy blue green sea color. the polyp earrings remind me of miniature chandeliers or little sea creatures that scoot the ocean floor....but with this metal shape it becomes a sweet little basket. the movement of these while wearing is such a beautiful thing. that make quite a statement.

these earrings are all hand fabricated by me using raw material of sterling silver. they are soldered, drilled, sanded, manipulated, oxidized and sanded again to bring back some of the sterling visible to the surface. i then thread on the beads and secure them in place with filament all in my studio in austin, tx. each pair is made one at a time
